Accessory nucleus

Branchial motor cranial nerve nucleus of the lower medulla and upper cervical spinal cord; this nucleus (also called the "spinal accessory nucleus") contains the motor neurons that innervate the trapezius and sternomastoid muscles via the spinal accessory nerve (cranial nerve XI).
